Terms of service

The rules of the beta.

Last updated September 18, 2026

What Unbilled is

Unbilled is a private-beta service that reconstructs your legal work from the Outlook records you authorize and proposes timesheet entries for your review. It is a drafting aid. It is not legal advice, accounting advice, or a substitute for your professional judgment.

Your responsibility

Every entry requires your review and approval before it counts. You are responsible for the accuracy of the time you bill, including any entry Unbilled proposed. Unbilled never invents time, and neither should you.

Beta terms

Acceptable use

Intellectual property

Unbilled owns the service, including its software and methods. You own your data: your records, your entries, your billing profile, and your corrections. We claim no ownership over your work product.

Termination

You may stop using Unbilled at any time by disconnecting Microsoft access and deleting your local billing profile. We may suspend or end beta access with notice if these terms are violated.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unbilled is not liable for billing decisions you make, disputes with clients over billed time, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the beta.

Changes

These terms may change as the beta evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email before they take effect. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
